Ballade Best

From Faithway:

Someone said that it reminded them of "Liar" but I think it has shades of "Lyricism". It is a classic "Akina pose" but at least it is "new"? Is purple her new favourite because Destination is purple too? At least she isn’t blue …

Akina did have several ballad best in the past.

From my memory, she has Lyricism, Only women ~ Love Song, and Ballad collection (which was released the same time as ‘play with danger’).

However, this new ballad best seems like a real work from Akina instead of Warner’s attempt of making last profit from her.

I have a mix feeling toward the cover art. I thought it’s more like a picture inside the booklet instead of the front cover picture.

DVD is the real thing. They should just release it as DVD and bonus ballad best. I’m sure most Akina’s fan buy it for that reason.

Well not as daring as Utahime Best but it’s okay.

it looks kinda like the ‘purple’ album of shizuka kudo in 1995(?).. but i like it anyway, very artistic… now they have managed to deal with the copyright problem, i think they will release a full-version dvd anyway..

It’s interesting; I like it too.

It’s certainly much better than some of her other attempts at cover art in recent years.

I don’t mean to be skeptical but I think the photo was an old work which was used in her 2004 concert phamplet. Just look at the make-up …

nice cover! can anyone affirm this isn’t a rehashed shot? what are those strips coming down? wooden frames of a mirror? nice glossy lips! i think she might have just eaten Hainanese chicken rice! hahaha.

Wow! I didn’t know you could tell the makeup from just one partial photo. That is good, though I don’t know if I’ll agree.

Most of the time when she throws her head back, there is usually no fringe, but I like how it lightly lands on her eyes, and she does have a nicely shaped nose.

Is this a DVD of her hold music videos or new videos? Or is this a concert recording? I’m confused…

    To Crayon:

It’s a CD of a collection of her ballads - with one new song and three re-recorded songs thrown in for good measures. The limited edition of this CD comes with a bonus DVD that contains 30-minute footage of her 1983 concert.

This is the photo which makes me suspicious of the reuse of old work.

Daydream - Thanks for sharing the information and picture.

IMO, it certainly can be the same photo shoot. It’s very hard to tell because we can only see her face from the cover album picture.
